Transformational leadership also involves offering support and encouragement to
develop individual followers. They keep lines of communication open to develop
supportive relationships. They demonstrate authentic concern for others,
delegate effectively, and apply situational leadership styles to ensure high
levels of productivity.
Identity in Christ in relation to individualized consideration did not show a
strong statistical relationship. This may be due to a disconnect in the leader’s
inability to express an authentic identity in Christ. The leader simply does not
know who they are in Christ and followers detect this deficiency. As a result,
followers do not feel authentically cared for by leadership.
